In short, yes! 1:1 training is reserved for students that have a tattooing background or previous PMU experience. It is required to have your Blood Borne Pathogens Certificate as well as your Florida Tattoo License prior to class to be able to take a live model. If you are traveling from out of state, then a Florida Guest Artist License will be required. Models for the class will be provided, unless you would like to bring your own. Models must be over 18, not pregnant or breastfeeding, healthy skin, not taking blood thinners, and no previous permanent cosmetics.

While making back your investment is significant, creating quality work is most important. If you put in the time and energy to practice and continue to build muscle memory, your quality will show. With quality and consistency, you will be able to apply suitable rates to your survives. Personally when I began, I took tons of free “models”. By taking free models, I was able to get more hands on practice, build my portfolio, and begin advertising myself. You get what you put into this career. I can give you the tools and knowledge to succeed, but it’s up to you to implement them and to push yourself with passion.

As students build their skill set and show they are willing to put in the work, I will always reshare photos! This is not a competition to me, and it shouldn’t be to you. I am all about community. If you are building yourself up, developing your skills, and demonstrating a superb level of professionalism, then I will always refer clients where I can.

I am only family with Florida and Oregon licensing. Each state has different rules and regulations pertaining to licensure and it your responsibility to ensure you are able to work in your state/county.

For Florida as well as my training program you will need to obtain your Blood Borne Pathogens Certificate as well as your Florida Tattoo Artist License. The BBP can be done online and takes about 3 hours, it is issued within 24 hours. The Florida Tattoo Artist Lisense must be applied for either in person or by mail. This goes much faster in person, and takes about a month or so by mail. If you have not completed both of these prior to the training program you will not take a live model in the 5 day course, you will have up to 90 days from the start of your class date to complete licensing and schedule a model with me.

As for your own work space after the class, all information is listed in the Florida Health Dept. site. In a nutshell you will need to follow all rules and regulations to obtain a Biomedical Waste Certificate as well as a Tattoo Establishment license.

Advance classes will be priced fairly for those who have taken training previous with or without me.

I tend to facilitate 1:1 classes, but will take up to 4 students. I prefer to keep my classes small and intimate so I am able to give each student the customized training that they need.

As for market saturation, I don’t believe in being competitive with each other. Building a community is so very important. At the end of the day there are plenty of hair stylists, injectors, waxers, and so on in the beauty industry. Clients will be looking for the artist that fits their styles and needs.

No. Permanent cosmetics services are tattooing and can only be provided in a licensed Tattoo Establishment.

To travel and provide Permanent Cosmetics sounds so exciting, and it’s a place you visit regularly, it is doable. You must research the laws and regulations for the state you intent to travel to. If you travel to provide services, you will also need to think about traveling to provide touchups as well as annual refreshers.

Social media is its own beast. I go over the apps that I utilize for lightly editing my photos. I will create an additional course for marketing, customer service, and social presence.

I have 5 years experience in this industry, as well as a foundation in beauty as a previously licensed cosmetologist. I have invested thousands of dollars back into my own education with over 20 certifications. All of this I have pushed for myself, with a lot trial and error. Unfortunately the state of Florida does not have any regulations when it comes to teaching, which is why it is so very important for you to take your time picking the right trainer for you. One class will never be enough, but establishing a proper foundation is something you do not want to settle on. Starting this journey is a huge commitment and falls on both the trainer as well as yourself!

You will get what you put in. If you do not practice through out the 5 day class, then you will not retain or learn anything. I can show you everything I know, but I need you to meet me half way! This class is designed for fundamentals and basics, however my manual comes complete with advance techniques as well. If you are catching on faster, I will show show you further steps and techniques. If you are working a slower pace, which is totally normal as well, you will learn the starter techniques. There is no rush, I want you to learn and succeed. I will accommodate to your learning style and we will work together until it clicks. Again, I can show you everything that I know, but it does not mean you will leave with 5 years experience. You have to put in the work, and have self discipline.

Aside from knowledge, this biggest, most important part! You will complete this class with a full kit with over 20 clients worth of materials. You will have 90 days of follow up support, use it! Message me with questions, show me your latex work, ask me about color selections. I want to make sure you don’t dive into this industry without support! I want to help. I want you to succeed. This is a team effort.

Shadowing occasionally is definitely an option. It does pull from the client’s experience and would have to be scheduled on a case by case basis. Additional 1:1 training days will also be available to purchase as a discounted rate for my previous students, this will also include a shadow portion.
